JetBlue Airways first New York JFK lounge Airspace JFK opens

by Richa 13. August 2013 04:15

Want to escape the busy terminal at New York JFK while setting your boarding process into motion? Here’s a gift from JetBlue Airways! You have every reason to be happy now. No drudgery or usual airport commotion. Just escape into the JetBlue Airway’s flagship JFK Terminal 5. The airline has opened its first airport lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The recently inaugurated Airspace JFK lounge is a big relief indeed. It’s undoubtedly an escape from the busy terminal and a pleasant place to hang out.

Airspace JFK is located in Terminal 5 near gates 24 and 25. It is being operated by Swissport subsidiary Airspace Lounge. You won’t have to spend big bucks for seeking access to the lounge. Just pay $25 and have a blissful stay prior to boarding your flights. It’s open for all travelers. You don’t need to buy a first class ticket or travel in business class to gain access here.

The 2,500 square feet lounge has a capacity to accommodate 60 people. However, during the peak times the passengers will be charged $35. Amex Platinum cardholders and Aer Lingus first and business class passengers are the lucky ones. They can just walk in for free into the lounge.

Feeling hungry? Just don’t worry. You need to have a $10 credit toward menu items and you can treat yourself to bar snacks, sweets, and a whole range of cocktails, wines and craft beers. If you don’t want to spend on your eats then get Peet’s coffees and teas and light snacks, which are for free.
