In a statement the German flagship carrier Lufthansa said that it will resume its flight service to Tokyo from 24th March 2011, which was suspended due to the disastrous earthquake and tsunami that hit the city couple of weeks back.
The airline in its previous statement said that it will divert its Tokyo flight service to Osaka and Nagoya till 27th March 2011. The airline will operate its A340 aircraft to Tokyo from Frankfurt and Munich.
The airline said that it has been carefully monitoring the current development in Japan and is also in touch with the aviation authorities regarding the latest updates.
