Finnair has announced that it is upgrading its business class section. The airline has decided to give away with angled lie-flat business class seats. These seats will be replaced by wide and comfy fully flat beds.
Finnair will roll out these fully-flat bedded seats in all its long-haul flights from the beginning of autumn 2014. At present Finnair has only four Airbus A330 featuring fully-flat beds with 79-inch length and 23 inch width.
The airline said that business class section of all its Airbus A330 and A340 will be upgraded and will cost them nearly €29 million. Senior vice president, Anssi Komulainen said that, the airline believes that by providing this upgraded service they will be able to differentiate themselves from the other competitors and also provide their customers more comfort. As fully-flat seats are the new benchmark for both the passengers and the airlines.
