by Richa G 9. April 2013 06:09

WestJet continues to be the most preferred airline of Canada when it comes to offering cheap flights options, as compared to all other Canadian low-cost carriers. As reported by the airline, it flew higher number of passengers in March 2013 as compared to march 2012. The airline stated that not only there is significant increase in the traffic but is also in the capacity.

WestJet chief executive officer, Gregg Saretsky said that it is their partnership strategy that has lead towards the increase in passenger traffic. And to further grow they have signed their ninth code-sharing agreement with Air France.

The airline reported average amount of seats filled for March as 86.1 percent. And the load factor for the first financial quarter as 84.3 percent. WestJet in March flew 1.6 million passengers, which is 6.7 percent higher or approximately 101,100 passengers more on a year-over-year basis.
