The Republic of Croatia will see the debut of a brand new airline
‘Air Croatia’ soon. Media reports recently said that the new carrier Air
Croatia is all set to make foray with the launch of its new flights
between Sweden and Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. The new flights
will become operational from this summer season.
According to media reports, Air Croatia would be leasing an aircraft
from a Dutch carrier for operating flights to Zagreb, Pula, Zadar, Split
and Dubrovnik in June 2014. The airline will announce its timetable
soon. The airline has also indicated that it will also start operating
flights out of Gothenburg and Stockholm as well.
Air Croatia is currently planning to start two weekly services from
Gothenburg to Split. The airline also plans to operate one flight every
week to Zagreb, Pula and Dubrovnik from Gothenburg. The airline has also
disclosed that it is planning to operate flights to Split and Zadar
from Stockholm. Air Croatia is still to put up flight tickets to these
destinations up for sale.
Air Croatia is a low-cost carrier and would be making available food,
alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, tea and coffee for purchase on board.
Passengers booking flight tickets would be allowed to check-in 20 kg of
luggage free of cost. Air Croatia is essentially a Swedish tour operator
that specializes in holiday packages to Croatia. The airline will lease
and brand its own aircraft providing opportunity to customers to buy
individual tickets as well.
